We provide a variety of services that include rough framing, finish carpentry, window and door replacement, painting and staining, additions and remodeling.  No job is too big or too small!

Our Services

> Rough Framing:  We frame our houses, garages and additions with accuracy and pride and as tho it was a finish carpentry job.  MKL superior roughing materials come from Zuern Building Products.  MKL has 15 years experience in rough framing.  We are familiar with and build to code; we don’t take “short cuts”.  We can work with existing plans, or if plans are needed, we work with the lumber suppliers to have plans created.

> Finish Carpentry:  Absolute perfection, just as if doing our own home is the standard with all finish carpentry.  MKL works with you to provide you with options and assist you in selecting the materials that fit your preferences and needs for your finish job.  MKL has experience installing and finishing cabinetry, fire place surrounds/mantels, stair cases, trimming out kitchens, bars, rec room areas, bedrooms, and family rooms. Frequently, we use Wood Specialties, Inc (Menomonee Falls) for our finishing materials and mill work.

> Windows and Doors:  MKL does a wide variety of window and door installs with proven products from Advance Window and Door.  Manufacturers we frequently use are some of the best such as Marvin Windows and Doors, Hayfield Windows, and Therma-Tru Doors.  MKL Construction takes the time to accurately measure your space to make sure the correct window/door size is ordered from the get go.  Upon installation, MKL makes sure to install adequate insulation around your new window or door.  Customers frequently tell us how they are so pleased by the energy efficiency of their new windows and doors, and how excited they are that the see a change on their energy bill.

> Siding and Roofing:  We prefer to use quality products from ABC Supply, the world’s largest roofing and siding distributor, for these jobs.  We recommend using LP Siding and Trim products because they have a great warranty.  LP Siding and Trim hasn’t had a single claim on their product since 1996.  MKL Construction does have experience with a variety of other siding materials such as vinyl, hardy plank, cedar, steel, and aluminum.  We do install these products as well.  Popular brands of shingles we use are GAF and Duration.  We take special care to match shingles on remodels so they blend/match well with existing shingles.

> Remodeling:  From bathroom to kitchen remodels/updates, from additions and complete new home construction, MKL will see to the job for you and your budget. We work closely with you the customer to understand your ideas and needs.  We ensure your project stays within your budget.  Your job is finished promptly while promising quality workmanship.  MKL and its subcontractors clean up as we go along.  Upon completion of your project, you won’t be able to tell we were there.  Your total satisfaction is what we strive for.

> Painting/Staining/Finishing: Top quality products from Sherwin Williams are used to complete your job.  Big or small, kitchen cabinets, painting a small bathroom, to all the painting, staining, finishing of your new home, MKL can perform it all.  MKL has been certified through the state of WI as a lead safe renovator.  Your project will be cleaned up safely to code.

> Decks:  MKL is capable of constructing just about any of your outdoor dreams from simple to extravagant designed decks, porches, gazebos, arbors, and pergolas.  Working with many product types such as plastic to composite wood decking and railing systems, MKL has the edge on superior, defined, workmanship.  We also use conventional materials such as cedar and treated lumber materials.

> Rec Rooms:  From the simplest to the most challenging projects, MKL constructs the big room open concept living area, a movie theater room, office, and/or a bar as you desire.  Bathrooms and/or bedrooms built on a lower level are built to code.  MKL works closely with you to determine what type of heating/cooling will fit your needs and budget.  We have experience with installing electric, radiant, and forced air.  Our subs we use to install heating have many years experience and do quality work.  MKL also assists the customer in laying out a floor plan if needed, and can help trouble shoot ideas to make the best use of space and fulfill your needs.
